The hobby is still treating Caitlin Clark like she’s the only WNBA player capable of building a massive card market.
Paige Bueckers is already producing like a star at a fraction of Clark’s card prices, A’ja Wilson has already built one of the strongest résumés in the league, and Olivia Miles is putting together a rookie season that has already pushed past one of Clark’s biggest records.
Then there’s another wave coming behind them with names like JuJu Watkins, Hannah Hidalgo and Madison Booker.
Clark changed the market, but women’s basketball is producing too many stars for the hobby to stay centered around one name forever.
There are more recognizable players, more storylines and more potential long-term chases than the card market currently reflects.
So who’s the next WNBA player the hobby is going to wish it got in on earlier?
