Supporting Ezra on DWTS brought up emotions that are hard to put into words. ❤️ 12 years ago, as the first Paralympian to compete on the show and being a double leg amputee I knew I was doing something that hadn’t been done before but I don’t think I fully understood the impact of representation until later. Watching Ezra not only represent what’s possible, but speak so clearly about why it matters, brings tears to my eyes. He’s putting words to something I felt 12 years ago but couldn’t quite articulate and maybe that’s why watching him this season feels so personal to me. Plus, I have known him since he was a little boy. I can’t wait to watch him in awe this season like so many people said they did for me. What a cool experience this all is.
