🇹🇭 Thailand’s Queen Suthida just made history by flying a Saab JAS 39C Gripen fighter jet completely solo for 41 minutes! The 48-year-old Queen took off from Royal Thai Air Force Wing 7 on October 8, becoming Thailand’s first female Gripen pilot. Unlike a passenger flight, she was completely alone in the cockpit of the single-seat Swedish-built fighter jet, which is capable of reaching speeds exceeding Mach 2. Before taking control, she completed 45 academic and emergency-procedure subjects, 20 simulator sessions, and approximately 10 hours of flight training in a two-seat Gripen.
