The show is a unique presentation that brings together Cheung’s acclaimed New Order Vanitas series alongside his Glitch works, both drawing on Old Master painting. Cheung, London-born, Hong Kong origin multimedia artist uses algorithmic pixel rearrangement of Dutch Golden Age still lifes and Financial Times stock listings to explore birth of global capitalism, empire, and cultural identity to reflect on the human condition under histories written by victors with the rise and fall of civilisations.
