Eleven years after his own cancer diagnosis, 14-year-old Hudson Gatton stepped onto the field at M&T Bank Stadium to inspire others still in the fight.
Hudson was chosen to ring the bell at this year’s Ravens Crucial Catch game. He was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia at age 3. His treatment ended in 2018. He took advantage of this moment to encourage others going through cancer treatment to not give up and to stay positive.
Hudson’s mom, Tamara Brewster, works in cancer care as nursing director of our MedStar Georgetown Cancer Institute at MedStar St. Mary's Hospital.
