Quicker release. Cleaner path. Notice the difference in action of the front arm and location of separation in these two consecutive reps by @harrisonhyndman The front hand ‘riding’ the ball back beyond the back armpit is a great way to lengthen your loadpath and extend your release timing. The cue given (shown here at 2x speed) is to connect the front thumb to the chest just before initiating the throw. This effectively ’kills’ the over-participation by the front arm and hand, cleans up the loadpath and accelerates the release. The front arm can’t help you throw. It can only hurt you. #rotaryQB #quarterback #kinesiology #modernQBmechanics #QBsmpl
