Hackers turned up the temperature of refrigerators and freezers at hundreds of French supermarkets to as high as 122 degrees Fahrenheit (50 degrees Celsius) overnight, spoiling food and sparking fires. The Paris prosecutor's office said a 'large-scale' cyberattack was targeting connected refrigerators at several major food retailers across France, causing food losses and fires. Prime Minister Sebastien Lecornu has ordered France's National Cybersecurity Agency to investigate. France was also coordinating with European counterparts amid concerns other countries could be affected, while authorities assessed whether additional French companies were at risk. #france #news #supermarket #cyberattacks #food
