Authorities in Nepal urged villagers to move to safer areas after flooding along the Budhi Gandaki River swept away several homes and damaged infrastructure. The Budhi Gandaki is a tributary of the Trishuli River, which lies downstream from another tributary where a glacier collapse triggered a catastrophic flood in August, killing 1,457 people, with thousands more still missing. Eyewitness video showed floodwaters repeatedly battering a bridge in central Nepal before the structure finally collapsed and was swept downstream.
