A colorful aurora illuminated the sky over Rovaniemi in Finnish Lapland. The aurora was captured by a local photographer, who said the display was the strongest since a similar geomagnetic storm in January 2026. Auroras were spotted as far south as Italy, Corsica and Ukraine, while in Rovaniemi on Finland's Arctic Circle, the skies remained illuminated for hours.
