The University of Oklahoma is proud to honor Sherri Coale — a coach, mentor, author, and Oklahoma legend — with a Doctor of Humane Letters. For 25 unforgettable seasons, Coach Coale built ou_wbball into a national powerhouse while inspiring generations of student-athletes with her passion and relentless belief in what was possible. From Final Four runs and championship banners to life lessons that shaped leaders across Oklahoma and beyond, her legacy is woven into the fabric of this university. An Oklahoman through and through, Coach Coale represents the very best of our state: courage, heart, excellence, and a commitment to lifting others higher. Her influence can still be felt in packed arenas, in classrooms, in communities, and in the countless lives she changed along the way. Join us in celebrating a true Sooner icon. #LeadOnOU
