A 15-year-old former pupil killed a school caretaker and injured two others at a primary school in northeastern Poland on Thursday, police said.
The attack happened in Leszczydol-Nowiny, northeast of Warsaw, at around 0700 GMT. The school principal and a teacher were injured while attempting to restrain the attacker. Their injuries were not life-threatening.
The motive was not immediately clear. The suspect was detained, according to authorities.
The attack came a day after a 19-year-old wounded 10 people, including himself, in a knife attack at a school in Ostroleka.
Polish Interior Minister Marcin Kierwinski also said police detained a 17-year-old in Sierpc after the teenager allegedly spoke about plans to do “something dangerous” at a school. Police said the teenager was carrying two knives.
