Hours after federal agents searched the Washington, D.C., home of Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., on Monday, President Donald Trump called her “totally crooked” while insisting he had “nothing to do” with the criminal investigation amid their long-running feud.
“Well, I understand they’re looking at her very carefully,” Trump told reporters before leaving the White House for a rally in Ohio. “I’ve always found her to be totally crooked personally, but that has nothing to do with me.”
“I think she’s a terrible person, but that’s really up to the DOJ,” he continued. “I have nothing to do with it.”
