What kind of Jamaica are we rebuilding for tomorrow? On Saturday evening, October 10, 2026, Jamaica Observer Design Week 2026 stopped at Spaces in Kingston for a thought-provoking conversation about the future of Jamaica and the role of architecture and design in rebuilding our communities. From accessible green spaces and walkable neighbourhoods to improved drainage, environmental considerations and community resilience, the discussion challenged us to look beyond rebuilding what was lost and imagine what is possible. 🌱🏙️ Green spaces are more than beautiful additions to our surroundings. They can support our well-being, improve the quality of our urban environments and create spaces where communities can connect, thrive and flourish.
