We were honored to join the Les Paul Foundation this week in celebrating Slash as the recipient of the 2026 Les Paul Spirit Award. Presented at the Les Paul Recording Studio in Hollywood, the one-of-a-kind award is made from a piece of wood that Les and his son Rusty carved personally for the walls of his home studio so that he could achieve the exact acoustic sound he wanted. The award recognizes artists whose innovation, creativity, and impact on music reflect the pioneering spirit of Les Paul. It was an unforgettable evening that celebrated Slash's impact on generations of players and the unique bond he shared with Les Paul, who was both a friend and musical inspiration.
