Somers (somersfootball_) remains in the top spot in the lohud Section 1 football rankings this week. A rivaly win is good. Forcing the defending state champions to win a playoff game or two on the road in order to repeat is better. Harrison is in position to make the road a little harder for Rye with a win this week at Nugent Stadium. This is The Game, simply the best rivalry in Section 1 and maybe the state. The Garnets are 22-3 in this game over the last 25 years, but this could be a very interesting matchup between the No. 6 and No. 7 teams in this week's lohud Section 1 rankings. 🔗 Read more about the Section 1 football rankings at the lohudsports link in bio. ✍: Mike Dougherty hoopsmbdlohud / The Journal News/lohud.com 📸: Peter Carr pcarrphoto / The Journal News/lohud.com #lohudSports #lohudFootball #Football #HighSchoolFootball #Section1
