What's it like to be played by Mikey Madison? Facebook whistleblower Frances Haugen is depicted by the Anora star in new movie The Social Reckoning. In 2021 Haugen leaked internal documents which revealed what the company knew about the potential harms of its platforms, including Instagram’s impact on teenage girls’ body image and the role of its systems in directing users towards extremist content. In the film, Madison stars alongside Jeremy Allen White, who plays Wall Street Journal journalist Jeff Horwitz, whose reporting brought Haugen’s revelations to light.
