Sandra Birchmore was exploited for years by former Massachusetts police officer Matthew Farwell, according to Lauren Andrews, the mother of one of Birchmore's closest friends. "It was grooming," Andrews told CBS News. Prosecutors allege Farwell began sexually abusing Birchmore when he was 27 and she was 15. Years later, prosecutors allege Farwell strangled Birchmore and staged her death to look like a suicide after she told him she was pregnant and believed he was the father. In a court filing, the defense said DNA testing confirmed Farwell was not the father. He has pleaded not guilty to murder charges. #Crime #News #Massachusetts #PoliceOfficer
