Welcome to our first #FacesofFreeman! To kick off this new series that will highlight our amazing team #behindthescenes, who better to start us off than Felipe Tapia. Felipe is one of our longest employees, working with Billy and #FreemanBoats for the past 13 years. “I started working with Freeman in 2009 and we did everything. Since then, I have helped Billy break out the departments so my title is hard to define. Today, you can find me out on the floor keeping my eye on quality and our process. We used to make three boats a year, and now we are around three boats a week. But it’s always been quality first, then we try to speed up the quantity. One thing someone may not know is that I’m the only one who lays down the non-skid. It’s not that I don’t want to teach anyone, I just have years of perfecting the art!
