A robot can now draw your blood
Aletta is the first standalone robotic blood-draw device the FDA has authorised. It finds your vein with near-infrared light, checks depth with ultrasound, and AI picks the needle spot.
Then it ties the tourniquet, cleans the skin, inserts the needle, fills the tubes, and bandages you.
In a 1,633 patient trial, it hit the vein first try 94.5% of the time once it found a suitable one.
One phlebotomist can supervise three robots at once. If it can't find a good vein, it stops and hands over to a human.
Share this with someone who hates needles.
Save it, this is coming to clinics.
