A little behind the scenes of my first research study visit! After 6 years of living with paralysis, I’m getting the opportunity to be part of research exploring how electrical stimulation could help people with spinal cord injuries. The goal is to see whether combining functional electrical stimulation (FES) with spinal stimulation can help muscles work longer before fatigue sets in and potentially improve exercise and rehabilitation.
