Stunning architecture designed by Renzo Piano and completed in 2001, the Maison Hermès in Tokyo’s Ginza district glows like a lantern after dark. 💭🤍 Its translucent glass blocks soften the boundary between the city and the rooms inside, letting daylight in and light spill out at night. Around 18 000 glass blocks, crafted in Italy, make up the building’s distinctive façade. Commissioned in 1998 as Hermès Japanese headquarters, it brings a Parisian fashion house, Italian craftsmanship and the energy of Tokyo together in one address.
