The Kings have FINALLY found their guy. 🔥 Darius Acuff Jr. is already looking like the floor general Sacramento’s needed since De’Aaron Fox left, dropping 25 points, four rebounds, and eight assists in a recent preseason outing after 19 points in his debut against the Lakers. He’s set to open the season as the Kings’ starting point guard as a true rookie, and even a vet like Quentin Grimes admitted after facing him that he didn’t play like one. That trust is a big deal for a team that drafted him seventh overall specifically to rebuild the backcourt around him, and his own college coach is predicting he hits at least 18 points and eight assists a night as a rookie. If Acuff lives up to that kind of hype early, Sacramento’s rebuild might be ahead of schedule. Does Acuff factor into the Rookie of the Year race if he keeps this pace up?
