Piss are not here to make comfortable music. Across 15 tracks, their debut album ‘You Made Me / Skin On Linen’ ricochets between intellectual references to the likes of Toni Morrison and philosopher Manon Garcia, and almost unbearably raw explorations of vocalist Taylor Zantingh’s experience of the ongoing trauma of sexual violence. ⁣ ⁣ “I'm always reminded that a big reason why the project is doing well is because there's this huge problem, and if so many people are resonating with it, that reflects on our artistry and our ability to talk about it. But it also reflects on how horrible a lot of people feel that they’re relating to a record like this,” Zantingh tells NME days before the band perform at End Of The Road. “This record is supposed to continue a conversation that's been going on for a really long time. It feels like simultaneously the easiest and the most difficult thing I've ever done.”⁣ ⁣ piss_theband are on The Cover. Read the full story at NME.com/the-cover or at the lin...
