🔥 SPOTLIGHT: Isa Malo
Before vodkaaymiel became a name for Isabella Malo’s art, it was the name she used to sell everything that wouldn’t fit in a bag: clothes, household things, the belongings she was leaving behind in Ecuador.
At the time, she was still figuring out how to make stickers and sell her work. Today, the multidisciplinary Ecuadorian artist specializes in digital illustration and visual art, drawing on nature and experiences from back home to create paintings, stickers, and work in clay.
Sometimes that means giving a plant a face. Sometimes it means leaving a face out entirely. Across those choices, Isa keeps returning to how experiences of home can take shape in something she makes.
What detail from home would find its way into your art?
