olive is me i am her🫒 Lili Reinhart’s portrayal of Olive Smith brings the lovable, intelligent, and sometimes hilariously awkward PhD student from The Love Hypothesis to life. Olive is passionate about her research but far less confident when it comes to romance, leading her into an unexpected fake-dating arrangement with the intimidating professor Adam Carlsen (Tom Bateman). Through Olive’s friendships, career ambitions, insecurities, and growing feelings for Adam, Lili captures both her determination and vulnerability as her carefully planned experiment becomes much more real than she anticipated. What makes Lili’s performance so charming is the way she balances Olive’s awkward humor with the more emotional sides of her story. She makes Olive’s nervousness, excitement, ambition, and romantic confusion feel genuine, while bringing the personality readers fell in love with on the page to the screen.
