We've seen your comments asking about Larry, and we’re here to come to his defense! Larry, Butterfly Pavilion's beloved Eurasian Collared Dove, was donated to us back in 2000 and has called our Wings of the Tropics Butterfly Conservatory home ever since. He primarily feeds on seeds, and our animal care team makes sure he is well-fed and cared for, with his diet and care carefully managed to help ensure he can peacefully coexist alongside the free-flying butterflies in the conservatory. Larry is part of the unique ecosystem of Wings of the Tropics, where birds, butterflies, plants, and other animals coexist... even if the butterflies can get a little feisty.
