My newest "United Plates of America" passion project combines my appreciation of license plates and love for well-researched designs. I will be redesigning the license plates in all U.S. states and territories, giving each one a completely new design based on a state's sights and license plate histories 🚘 To start off this series, here is my redesign of California's license plates! --- California's 1995 "Lipstick" license plates are pretty classic, but I've always found them to be quite plain. My revamped California plate is simple (so not to favor a single part of this large, diverse state); it uses the state's unofficial colors of blue and gold as well as the Art Deco-style font of the "Sunset" plates from the 1980s The standard plate then provides a consistent design system for the rest of the specialty plates.
