This book is a great resource exploring how fragrance is derived from natural materials and pairing beautiful botanical illustrations with historical context and language about each fragrance. Ellena, former perfumer for Hermès and the nose behind countless iconic fragrances, has a way of describing scent that makes something abstract feel almost tangible. One of our favorite passages is about bergamot—a popular fragrance to blend with at AURA: “Some loves are passing, but there is also solid and enduring love.
