Before Oak Hill Academy became one of the most respected names in basketball, Rod Strickland arrived late, barely unpacked, and stepped into the gym. A college coach from New York heard Rod was coming and told Coach Smith: “He’s going to own this gym.” Within 30 minutes, he did. That was the beginning of a legacy—one that helped put Oak Hill on the basketball map and inspired generations of hoopers who came after him. On Sunday, October 25, Oak Hill Academy will honor Rod Strickland with its Lifetime Achievement Award in New York City. Join us at Lavan Midtown as we celebrate a true basketball legend and support what comes next. 🎟️ Tickets, VIP tables, and sponsorship opportunities are available now — link in bio.
