↓ To all my Haters from College 👋🏼 ◽️Back in college, I had a LOT of problems as a student-athlete. It wasn’t the regular injuries or school, it was my teammates. After my official visit I was soo excited to join the team. ◽️When I got on campus, my roommate was a tennis player and every other recruit in my class was paired with a rower (thanks lol). The other coxswain in my class found ways to exclude me from freshman outings and I got ostracized from my team. They thought I didn’t want to hangout with them and were constantly talking behind my back, even to the coaches. Another teammate always found ways to undermine me at my internship, in SAAC meetings, volunteering, and anything she could. ◽️Eventually, I became close with athletes from other sports. I roomed with them later and even got elected to student organizations for my networking & dedication off the water.
