Drew Brees having never asked for a jersey swap until that moment is the most dad thing I’ve ever heard… I love it. 😭
Justin Jefferson’s season has been more about resilience than monster numbers so far, and he’s still the guy Minnesota leans on. He opened with 147 yards and two touchdowns in two games, then sprained his ankle in Week 3 when Vita Vea landed on his leg and missed Week 4. He came back in Week 5 in front of his Louisiana hometown crowd, catching six of seven targets for 79 yards and a leaping 15-yard touchdown over three defenders in a 23-13 win over the Saints.
That puts him at 19 catches, 258 yards, and three touchdowns, with the Vikings sitting at 5-0 heading into the bye. The offense has been inconsistent around him, but a healthy Jefferson with Kyler Murray looks like the real unlock for this team. They get a week to rest up and then host the Colts.
Is Jefferson about to go on a run now that he’s healthy and Minnesota is 5-0?
