Matthew Lillard originally thought ‘Scream’ was going to be lame. 😱
The scream king didn’t think the original ‘Scream’ would become a horror classic when he filmed it in 1996.
Speaking at New York Comic Con, he recalled driving home covered in blood while discussing career plans with co-stars Courteney Cox and Neve Campbell. ➡️
“I was in the back of a car, driving home from work one night, at like six in the morning, covered in blood,” Lillard shared. “And I’d literally just been on a pilot, and I’m like, ‘This movie’s lame. Nobody’s gonna see it. I’m going to go become a television star.’” 😭
“That pilot never went, and here we are 30 years later,” he revealed, noting that no one imagined what ‘Scream’ would become. 👏
This is a reminder that things always work out the way they’re supposed to. ✨ Let us know your thoughts in the comments. ⬇️
