Gurneys Derby’d. ✅ One of UAB’s most unique Homecoming traditions, dating back to 1994, is back! From decked-out gurneys to creative “passengers,” students brought the speed, spirit and a little healthy competition to 10th Street South for this year’s Gurney Derby. Awards included first, second and third place, best-dressed gurney, most creative passenger and, of course, the coveted “Dead Last” award. The Homecoming fun isn’t over yet! Join us tomorrow at noon for the parade, then head to Protective Stadium to cheer on the Blazers as we continue to Blaze the Seas! #HappyHomecoming
