I haven’t been back here since we filmed Married With Children in 1992. I’m at Sunset Gower Studios, Pearl is at the Les Paul Recording Studio here tracking new songs! I have so many great memories of that week shooting Married. We were all big fans of the show and being there on the set was so surreal. The whole cast and crew were so cool to us and made it one of the best weeks ever! Here’s one quick tale - Ed O’Neill, who in real life was nothing like Al Bundy, explaining to us that for him to get into character he just had to put on Al’s dirty undershirt. The difference was palpable when he wore it - his whole physicality would change, his voice would get higher, his face would literally morph into everyone’s favorite mouth-breather and there he was - Al Bundy. That shirt should be in the Smithsonian next to Fonzie’s leather jacket.
