The Fanal Forest above the clouds on the north-western side of Madeira Island. The day we visited it was warm with beautiful blue sky’s, part of me was hoping for the mystical fog that rolls through, giving that iconic eerie atmosphere to the twisted branches of the trees this area is known for.
