Right before the pandemic hit full force in the US, I went on a bike ride, and I was exhausted, and my heart was pounding. I felt like I was climbing a steep hill full gas, but I was on a flat road soft pedaling. This was unusual. Even though I had episodes before, this time felt different. I could barely make it home. My first thought was heart attack. It happened a few more times the next few days while I was at home, doing nothing and even waking me from a deep sleep. My heart rate would hit 200+ for no reason, sometimes for long periods. I told Laura if it happened again, I needed to go to the ER. Off to the ER a few days later. They recommend I see my doctor in the coming weeks.Â
