Three years after October 7, a British Jewish activist joins Zeteo UK to discuss her personal experience of that day, the destruction of Gaza that followed, and the path to peace.
In a wide-ranging interview for ‘The Real Question with Shehab Khan’, Hannah Weisfeld, the executive director and a founder of Yachad, a British Jewish organisation pushing for a political resolution to the Israeli occupation of Palestine, describes October 7 as a “cataclysmic moment” while also arguing there will be no lasting peace until there is an end to the occupation. Weisfeld, who has long campaigned for a two-state solution, also discussed the upcoming elections in Israel.
Shehab also pressed Weisfeld on...
- The impact of the far-right influence over the Israeli government
- The use of the word “genocide”
- Whether sanctions on Israel have any impact
- The chances of a two-state solution
