We asked crews along the shoreline of iconic surf spot, ‘The Wedge, what they were working on. One crew member said they’re widening the beach to make room for vehicles and dump trucks that will bring in sand as Newport Beach responds to this erosion. The city plans to pull sand from the Santa Ana River as part of an emergency response to erosion.
