We’re over the moon to hear that both Bears Ears and Grand Staircase-Escalante have been restored as National Monuments! We also think that this is an important time to recognize that we wouldn’t be celebrating this victory today, if it weren’t for the tireless work of our Indigenous Nations, and their resistance, which recently has been credited with staving off 25% of U.S. and Canada’s annual emissions.
