For an artist accustomed to writing about longing and heartbreak, putting something “good and beautiful” into words for his latest album #SweetFortune came with its own uncertainty.
Now, 20 shows into the Arms Over Armor tour, ryanbeatty is seeing those songs resonate onstage. With just over a dozen dates left for the year, he’s keeping the concerts fresh by experimenting with melodies and leaning into the energy of each crowd.
“I think the love songs really connect live,” he says. “Looking out into the crowd and seeing couples holding each other as they’re listening to ‘Sweet Fortune’ or ‘Too Many Ways,’ there’s so much sweetness in the room.”
At the link in bio, Beatty chats with THR's Ethan Millman about his new album, songwriting for other artists and more.
