More intel on Sony‘s distribution plan for Sam Mendes‘ hotly anticipated
#Beatles films has arrived.
• Four films in one month: Mendes’ long-time producing partner and co-founder of the pair’s Neal Street Productions, Pippa Harris, says Sony currently plans to release the films in April 2028, billing the rollout as a “four-film cinematic event.”
• A shared theatrical window: Producers want audiences to experience all four films in theaters during the same period. Each film tells one band member’s story, as Harris calls them “the greatest band in history” and says the team wants to do each member justice.
• Filming is well underway: Production has reached day 180, with the actors spotted around London re-creating iconic moments, including the Abbey Road album cover.
