At 5:28 a.m. this morning, Superintendent Jeanice Swift sent out an email that Ann Arbor Public Schools would be closed for icy roads on Friday, Feb. 17.
“The closure decision is based on ensuring the safety of our AAPS students and staff,” Swift wrote in her message. “Icy road conditions exist at this time on many neighborhood and secondary roads in the AAPS area following precipitation overnight.
All after-school activities are canceled and all school buildings are closed.
