Good morning ☕️ and happy Friday from.. Taos ☀️ My first big solo road trip was something like 8 years ago. I was 29 and stagnating. I didn’t set out to travel alone, but I had just moved to a new place, had a week off, and knew that I had to take the opportunity. The first place I drove to on that trip was Taos, New Mexico. I stayed in a run down motel, spending the night drinking wine and reading books. I woke up to watch the sunrise and explore the town. I got a coffee at what is now my favorite coffee shop. Walked the streets that I’ve since walked dozens of times. It felt magical. It was the perfect first stop. Boosting my confidence in my decision. I come back to northern New Mexico 3-4 times a year, and it’s just as magical. It’s not a National Park, but it has my heart. It feels right. Happy to be here now.
