Prosecutors have revealed a possible motive in the decades-old killing of Tanya Jackson, a woman once believed to be a victim of the Gilgo Beach serial killer. Jackson, a 26-year-old Gulf War veteran formerly known as "Peaches," was found dead in Hempstead Lake State Park in 1997. Nassau prosecutors now allege that Andrew Dykes, a former Tennessee state trooper who had an affair with Jackson, killed her after she tried to break up his marriage. Court documents reveal new details about their relationship, including testimony that Jackson confronted Dykes' wife and moved to New York to be closer to him. Dykes, 67, has pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder. His attorneys are seeking to have the case dismissed. Read more about the latest developments at the link in bio. (Photo Credit: Thomas A.
