An Elmont tax preparer faces up to 54 years in federal prison after being convicted of filing fraudulent tax returns that authorities say cost the government more than $1 million. Frantzson Saintilien, 65, was found guilty on all 18 counts of preparing false tax returns. Federal prosecutors said he used fake business losses, fuel expenses and tax credits to secure larger refunds for clients, sometimes keeping portions of the money without their knowledge. The fraudulent returns were filed between 2018 and 2022. A sentencing date has not yet been announced. Read more about the case at the link in bio.
