DON’T JUST CROSS THE LINE. DRIVE THE PLAY DEEP. 🏒
A dangerous zone entry starts with connected routes.
With BWC Academy Team U17 Prep, we’re working on kicking the puck wide into the speed lane, driving the middle to the net, and carrying the play below the dots.
The wide pass gives the outside player room to attack. The middle drive pushes coverage toward the net. The puck carrier keeps moving deep, creating options to shoot, pass inside or establish possession below the goal line.
COACHING POINT: Coordinate your routes. The middle player drives with purpose while the outside carrier attacks with speed and reads the available space. Timing makes the two routes work together.
Width opens the entry. Depth creates options.
