Two heroines. Two legends. One stage.🦋🦋 Shakespeare’s Juliet and Jul-Yingtai from the ancient Chinese legend The Butterfly Lovers meet in a dreamlike world where every soul must choose: move on, or relive the same fate. Performed in English and Mandarin with English subtitles, Juliet & Jul-Yingtai weaves nuó dance, memory and myth into a story of how women love: each other, and at last, themselves. “Our body is not an apology. Our memory is not a curse. Our love is not a weakness.” Written by Wisteria Deng & Melvin Yen Songs by Panzhen Wu Directed by Sissi Xiqian Chen Presented by vermilion_theater 📅 Friday, October 23 & Saturday, October 24, 7:30 PM 📍 White Eagle Hall, 337 Newark Ave, Jersey City 🎟 Tickets at the link in bio #chineseculture #JCTC #jerseycity #shakespeare #bilingualtheater Supported: newjerseyeda VisitHudsonNJ visit_nj poncedeleonfoundation NewJerseyArtsandCultureRenewalFund NewJerseyStateCouncilontheArts
