Apple Intelligence was meant to expand a photo beyond its original borders. Instead, it sometimes generates details that were never there in the first place. 🤯📸
The feature can enlarge an image by using AI to predict what the scene might look like outside the original frame.
But there’s a catch. The AI has no way of knowing exactly what was beyond the edges of the original photo. It studies the visible content and creates new details that seem to fit the scene.
Often, the results look impressively realistic. Other times, the AI invents things that never existed.
It’s a good reminder that AI image expansion doesn’t uncover hidden parts of a photograph. It generates its own interpretation based on the available visual information.
As these editing tools continue to improve, it’s becoming harder to tell which details came from the original image and which ones were created by AI.
Would you trust AI to expand your photos, or would you prefer to keep them in their original frame? 👀...
