🇨🇦 Kristian Jamieson is chasing a ghost in Sunday’s @towaterfront42k…and it’s a family member. In 1907, the legendary Onondaga runner Tom Longboat won the Boston Marathon in 2:24:24. He was widely considered the best distance runner in the world at the time. More than a century later, his great-great-grandson is coming for that time. @chosen.native is 24 and a member of the Upper Cayuga First Nation and the Wolf clan. He went to elementary school on the Six Nations Reserve near Brantford, where Longboat lived and died. He grew up a hockey kid and only started running seriously during COVID. His progress since then: 3:13 → his 2023 debut 2:39:23 → 3rd at Niagara Falls in 2025 2:34:02 → Boston 2026 2:31:25 → Ottawa 2026, just five weeks after Boston We’ll see what Sunday brings. He’s in his final year of dental school at Western, so his runs start at 4:30 a.m. This summer he hit 200K weeks. He’s coached by Rick Mannen, who guided @kristaduchene to 3rd at Boston. 📺 HOW TO WATCH...
