🗣️“You have to be having fun with it…The moment it stops being fun is the moment I’m gonna really take a big step back.” Locked in looks different for everybody. Moments after the gun went off at the Chicago Marathon, @vinny.mauri looked around at the American pack and put out his fist. 👊 Nobody bumped it! His goal heading into the weekend was to lighten the moment and not take things too serious, especially with the heightened attention and hype around his World Marathon Majors debut. He finished 10th overall, 3rd American in 2:06:45. On Strava afterward, he said he’d take it a bit more serious next time. Don’t confuse that for not respecting the marathon. He says he wants to gain experience, keep a level head, run with the pack and learn from those around him.
